Eurostar at Gare du Nord: How Early to Arrive and How to Get There

Gare du Nord is the busiest railway station in Europe and the Paris terminus of the Eurostar to London and of the Thalys to Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne. A little planning makes departure day much calmer.

How early should you arrive?

Eurostar check-in and platform access close 30 minutes before departure, and before that you go through security and passport control. We recommend arriving at Gare du Nord 60 to 75 minutes before your train, especially during school holidays and on Friday evenings.

Getting to the station with luggage

The metro and RER serve Gare du Nord, but with large suitcases the corridors and stairs of a busy station are hard work. A pre-booked car drops you at the station entrance. Arriving from London
