Travelling as a Group of 5 to 7 in Paris: One Van or Two Cars?

A standard car carries up to four passengers. As soon as you are five or more — or four with a lot of luggage — you need either two cars or one van.

From five travellers, the van is usually the cheaper option — and the group stays together.

What fits in a 7-seat van

• •5 to 7 passengers.
• •4 to 6 large suitcases (70–80 cm) plus hand luggage.
• •A family of four with four suitcases, a pushchair and a child seat fits easily.

Tell us when you book if you have more than six large cases, bulky sports equipment, a large instrument or a double pushchair.

Child seats

Child seats are free: infant carrier (0–12 months), toddler seat (9 months to 4 years) and booster (4–10 years). Two can be fitted side by side in the van.

When a car is enough

Up to four people with normal luggage, a standard car or VIP sedan is cheaper. The van only makes sense once the group or the luggage grows.
